NEW 2023 NYSCOPBA - Retiree Spouse/Domestic Partner Death Benefit Assistance Program

 

The NYSCOPBA Retiree Chapter will provide a one-time Death Benefit Assistance Policy to assist NYSCOPBA Retiree Chapter Members ("Retiree Members") in "good standing" of the NYSCOPBA Retiree Chapter. Upon the death of Retiree Member's Spouse or Domestic Partner, the qualified Retiree Member may be eligible to receive $500 out of the established fund. This benefit is intended to assist Retiree Members only and cannot be assigned, transferred,  or gifted to any other individual under any circumstance.

The NYSCOPBA Retiree Dental Reimbursement Program:

The NYSCOPBA Retiree Dental Reimbursement Program allows an eligible NYSCOPBA Retiree Chapter Member reimbursement of up to $100 for Members and $50 for dependents (spouse, domestic partner and child(ren) up to age 23) for paid dental services(excludes dental premiums)  from a provider of your choice. The reimbursement will be based upon the original paid receipt. You have until March 31st to file a claim for the previous year.

NYSCOPBA Retiree Specified Disease – For Current Enrolled Retirees

This program provides a lump-sum payment per insured for the first diagnosis of a covered specified disease.  This lump-sum cash payment can be used to help offset the unexpected costs of recovering from a critical illness such as heart attack, stroke, cancer or major organ transplant.  Most importantly, the cash benefit may be spent in any way the insured sees fit.

In addition there is a $100 Annual Cash Benefit.  You and your covered dependents receive a Health Maintenance Screening Benefit of $100 once per calendar year when completing one of the covered 20 tests.
